Kavita Chandran is a former business journalist who, after 20 years of working in newsrooms across the United States, Europe and Asia, took the plunge to bring her passion for yoga and writing together by launching Yoga Journal Singapore. She has written and edited news stories for BridgeNews, Bloomberg and Reuters, and also anchored news shows for CNBC. She is also the author of “The Head that won’t Stand”, a novel that weaves in true stories of eight ambitious and enterprising women she met in Mysore in a yoga shaala. Kavita lives in Singapore with her husband and two daughters, and also teaches yoga when time permits.
